SPORTS DEVELOPMENT
The Sports development project engages and motivates children in participating in physical activities. Volunteers create and lead sport sessions in schools with children ranging from 3 to 12 years old. You will need to be self-motivated and flexible as there is no set structure for this project. It is important that volunteers are also comfortable working with children, whilst being able to maintain discipline in groups. Schools tend to have limited resources and access to sporting equipment so you will also need to be creative. Volunteers will be teaching various sports, outdoor games and exercises. Its up to you to create your own session. When volunteering on this project, you will spend between 2 and 4 hours per day teaching and organising sports lessons. You will primarily be working within local schools with students aged between 5 and 12 years old.
