About us
At V2, we provide unforgettable volunteer and vacation experiences in the Caribbean. Our combination of responsible travel and high impact volunteering provides an authentic and ethical service to local communities. Established in 2013, V2 has a vast knowledge of and experience in the communities where we have our projects. Our extensive local connections in Jamaica and Tobago ensure that each and every one of our projects gets to the heart of what is necessary in each community. Our close-knit local partnerships foster relationships based on shared principles, collaboration and mutual trust. This reflects our commitment to long-term sustainability, respect for the environment and positive impact for both communities and volunteers.
Meet the V2 Team

Jade Whyne
Managing Director
Being from a Caribbean background and studying an MA in Caribbean studies, it was a natural step for me to found V2 with the hope of showcasing not only the beauty but also the reality of the Caribbean. I am responsible for the overall management of V2; budget and resource management, scouting for new projects, and overseeing volunteer recruitment, just to name a few tasks!

Jordane Whyte
Volunteer Coordinator
I am passionate about music and about all things Jamaica. I have a background in teaching and counselling and love putting the skills and knowledge that I have learned to use at V2. As a Volunteer Coordinator, I am responsible for ensuring that volunteers are productive, enjoying the program and above all safe. I also directly oversee the teaching and animal care projects – my favourites!

Mark Llewellyn
Volunteer Coordinator
I am currently studying Psychology and International Relations at the University of the West Indies, as well as working for V2. In addition to my responsibility of ensuring volunteers are safe and having fun, I also manage volunteer inquiries and applications, maintain the database and perform other administrative duties. I ensure that volunteers are continuously supported.

Michelle Duncan
HouseKeeper
I have a background in tourism and trained in housekeeping. I am passionate about everything connected to the tourism and hospitality sectors, particularly gastronomy- I love cooking and also work to ensure volunteer houses adhere to V2’s Hygiene, Healthy & Safety standards. I am always around to assist volunteers if they need anything- even a listening ear!

Sherona Norman
Head of Security
Being the head of security is great! I love making volunteers and V2 staff feel safe and secure. I really enjoy meeting volunteers from all over the world!
