Volunteer & Vacation in Trinidad & Tobago

A volunteering vacation in Trinidad & Tobago

Tobago, the sister island of Trinidad, is hailed as one of the world’s top eco-tourism destinations. This small island is an untouched paradise with a small population that depends mainly on tourism for income.

Despite being part of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean’s richest nation, wealth is disproportionately centred in Trinidad. As many as 19% of Tobagonians live below the poverty line.

V2 partners with local initiatives and projects on the island of Tobago. Through our combined volunteer and vacation experiences volunteers will gain an understanding of how local organisations work and have the opportunity to contribute their skills and ideas to the projects, whilst immersing themselves in a new way of life. With V2 you will be able to explore the island and enjoy its natural beauty and vibrant culture.

Volunteers stay in the idyllic town of Buccoo, famous for its coral reefs and Sunday School Street Party; every Sunday, the whole town comes together to party until the early morning to welcome the new week! Volunteers stay in the comfort of a local villa and placements are usually in close proximity to their accommodation. The safety of our volunteers is paramount and we provide 24 hour, seven day a week support, with staff on hand to help no matter what the issue.

V2 Volunteer offers a number of projects that can be undertaken at your chosen destination, view the volunteering projects currently available for this experience below.
