Internship programmes & student placements in the Caribbean
Travelling abroad to volunteer adds plenty transferable skills and experience to your resume, but nothing says ‘I can do this job’ quiet like a placement or internship overseas. You are enhancing your theoretical knowledge with hands on experience in a different country which not only makes you stand out from the rest, it also increases your resourcefulness, resilience and confidence.
Whether you are in the midst of your studies, or graduated, or simply want to gain insight and experience in a different field then a V2 Student placement and internship programme is perfect for you.
Each placement is uniquely crafted to meet the needs and interests of both the participant and our local partner organisation. Please do get in touch and tell us more about yourselves, so we can find you the perfect internship program for you.
From October to December 2014, I interned on the Social Development project in Jamaica after just having graduated from a degree in Anthropology of International Development. During these two and a half months, I participated in research, helped with workshops, trainings, events and worked at literacy centers to help young people learn how to write and read. This experience was great for learning about Jamaica and how social development works in reality.
Fast forward to 2016 and I now am a consultant for the World Bank in Jamaica, through the connections and experience I gained on my internship and from being here I learned a lot and was able to get my dream jobCecilia De Santis
